House of Zolo are exploring virtual reality space, looking for new ways to connect during these challenging times. Recently, we have been working in collaboration with the Odyssey Contemporary Art and Performance Simulators in Second Life, to create real-time experiences for our readers, as well as offering a new platform for authors.
Our first event, the HOZ Virtual Book Tour #1, featured the House of Zolo’s Erika Steeves in conversation with author JE Solo, which included a reading of Chapter One from JE’s premiere novel Phreak (House of Zolo, 2020). We have spaces open on Odyssey for holding special events, including a reading area, a place for perusing our website, the ability to Buy HOZ Books online, and a sleek, futuristic office space. News of special events, including readings by HOZ authors, coming in 2021.
