Erika Steeves (she/her) is a founding member of the House of Zolo and a current Creative Lead. As Lead Editor of the Journal of Speculative Literature, she has overseen the publication of four anthologies.

Erika is the founder of E.S. Editing, where she has worked as a professional book editor for over a decade. She has copy edited and proofread hundreds of projects for both traditional and independent authors and publishers in Canada and beyond. Her work spans academic publishing, nonfiction and thought leadership, and most recently, speculative fiction, with a special interest in short stories, novellas, and anthologies.

Erika is a mixed media artist currently exploring collage and blackout poetry. Recently, she opened Little Histories, a new exhibition of collage works and black out poems at HOZ’s virtual reality space on the Odyssey Simulator. She worked as Co-Lead on VR Forward, contributing concept developmental in the adaptation of poetry to VR installation spaces (produced by BBMC and House of Zolo).
