King Llanza (he/they) is from the Philippines. Their poems have appeared in Sledgehammer Lit, bind, amberflora, Voice & Verse Poetry Magazine, SAND: Berlin’s English Literary Journal, Cordite Poetry Review, among others. Their work has also been anthologized in BKL/Bikol Bakla: Anthology of Bikolnon Gay/Trans/Queer Writing (2019) and Busilak: New LGBTQ Poetry from the Philippines (2020). King graduated with a MSc degree in Environmental Science and Ecosystem Management and is currently a forest carbon research associate for a non-government organization.
King is a contributing author to the House of Zolo’s Journal of Speculative Literature, Volume 3 with the poem “Absence is the Last Line.”
